I think rates stay low for a while. I am hoping these low rates will stop the slowdown in San Francisco real estate.

New SF Developments Website

Someone just sent me this website: http://www.sfcityscape.com/highrises/new_skyline/pgs/uc.html San Francisco Cityscape. I live at the Brannan, which is right by one of the new developments. I wonder if the new Watermark Towers will saturate the housing market in the South Beach area. I also hear there will be a cruise terminal nearby, and that may include housing as well.

My wife and I bought a place in Cow Hollow a few weeks ago, and since then it seems like prices are levelling off - anyone else seeing that? Just my luck that when we buy something the market cools off..

If you are driving to the south bay I would advise against living in the marina. I did that for about 6 months and it was a total pain to get to the freeway every morning.

I am contemplating moving to SF, but I work in Mountain View now. Anyone have any advice on the commute? Which neighborhoods are best in SF if I am going to make this drive?

The Sunset

I have lived in the Sunset District for two years. Since it is on the outskirts of San Fran it is a little cheaper. Close to the beach, but not nightlife. Foggy a lot of the time, when the rest of the bay is not.
